This project was a milestone for us, marking our first use of Gaussian Splatting to capture a real location and bring it into a real-time virtual production setup. Using a smaller screen, we tested the possibilities of this technology—an important lighthouse project that laid the foundation for building our larger LED volume.

Filming in our motion control studio, we used the Bolt JR+ both as a tracking tool and to execute precise, repeatable movements, ensuring the camera path aligned perfectly with the digital environment. This approach allowed us to shoot the pack shot in-studio while maintaining the authenticity of the original setting, all while refining techniques that now shape our expanded Virtual Production workflow.
